Writing has long been a magical way to discover what you don’t know and to clarify what you do know. It’s a way to courageously express your truth and leave a distinct legacy. Writing is an act of courage that expresses your unique authority and freedom. There is no “right way to write” but there are proven ways to be supported on your writing journey. This writing group, led by author Ruth King, MA, leading authority on emotional wisdom, offers an atmosphere of support, fun, and self-discovery as you connect to your natural vibrancy and creativity. You flourish in the company of other writers and gain:

·         Support and reflective tools to write what you want

·         A simple, reliable way to stay centered when the world is wacky

·         A place to take some much-needed time to self-reflect

·         A way to be surprised and informed by your true writing voice

Bring

·         A notebook and pen

·         Your lunch and water

·         A willingness to slow down and write

Our Approach

Our approach combines a variety of contemplative methods, including quiet sitting, slow walking, music, art, dance, and–of course–writing! We write for ourselves and have the option to read our work. We are not competing with each other nor do we critique each other’s work. We write, we listen, and we trust the wisdom of our collective voices without judgment. Join us as we co-create a creative circle of like-minds.

Bring your friends! Call or email your questions.

About Ruth King, the writer turns author:

Ruth King, MA, leading authority on emotional wisdom, has an extensive background in life coaching, leadership development, group dynamics, and eastern and western psychology. Ruth discovered the craft of writing the hard way–by self-published her book Healing Rage—Women Making Inner Peace Possible in 2004, selling over 8,500 copies in two years. This led to a 2006 purchase by Penguin Publishing Group, making her book internationally recognized and translated into Italian in 2008. In 2007, Ruth also self-published her audio CD Soothing the Inner Flames of Rage—Meditations that Educate the Heart & Transform the Mind. Ruth has much to share about being, writing, and publishing. www.RuthKing.net
