Brother Talk Series, The Launch – Sept 29

Brothers,

Many of you have shared that you often feel frustrated, confused, and even angry at seemingly “small” things, arguing more with your partner, being less patient with your children and/or spouse, and feeling lethargic even when rested.  You share that you feel unsettled in your life. It may be that you are unwittingly (or knowingly) sitting on a range of emotions that scare you, confuse you, or even intimidate you–emotional baggage that you’ve had for years, and are getting very exhausted from.

The good news is that your emotions have your attention. Most of us who are acknowledging frustration and other intense emotions are already involved in an inner revolution–a sacred enlistment requiring us to turn our attention inward to heal. We are willing to turn inward and explore our emotional pain patterns as we become more aware that we desire more intimacy and relief in our lives, and the quality of this sacred investigation is enhanced when we join with other men.

Intrigued? Join me in a one-hour orientation phone call on Tuesday, September 29, and hear how this FREE tele-talk series for Brothers can enhance your emotional wellbeing.

I am very grateful to have met Ruth King, a fascinating teacher here in the Bay Area.   I have studied with her several times and am consistently impressed.  This sister resonates important and strategic work on how unrecognized intense emotions inhibit our liberation.  At first I thought, “I’m not raging about anything.” Later I realized, it only takes a simple trigger on the freeway or at my computer to cause a bunch of unexpected anger to arise.  That anger is not who I want to be.  It also has a surprising uncontrolled quality when I am alone.  I am going to join this brother circle. I hope you do to!  John Mifsud
