Our bodies and our minds contain the blueprint of our lineage. This means that the seeds of our ancestors’ unfinished business are still alive in our cells, bones, thoughts, and actions. Unacknowledged, these forces have the power to entangle us in fates that do not belong to us. Yet we will often uphold our pain inheritance out of an unconscious loyalty to our ancestors. Unaware of this legacy, we experience inner confusion and anxiety, external discord in our relationships, and pass our pain to future generations.
This introductory workshop is about turning inward to see baggage we’ve been hauling, open it up, and shine a light inside. We explore how to break habitual pain patterns by putting to rest what is already behind us. As we open ourselves to more emotional truth, we begin to let go of the heavy burden of our pain inheritance—a burden whose contents still live in our bones and in our nervous systems, having survived untold generations. By shining a light on our pain inheritance—doing our own work of healing—we create a new legacy.
With insights from Healing Rage and Family Constellations methodologies, African and Native American wisdom, and mindfulness practices, we reveal unconscious entanglements with the fates of family ancestors. We create a ‘knowing field’ as we decode this unconscious legacy, and in so doing, learn how to:
- Let go of habitual pain patterns
- Release long-standing traumas
- Expand perceptions of right and wrong
- Balance our lives
- Forgive ourselves and others
- Rest more in body, mind and spirit.
In this profoundly intimate and experiential workshop, we experience a taste of unconditional love and discover how seeing, being, and honoring our past frees us to be powerful, creative, and genuine in our present lives.
This 1-day workshop will be held in Charlotte, NC. The exact location will be determined once we have sufficient enrollment. If you are serious about attending, RSVP.
