“Mindful of Race – Not There Yet!”

An Evening with Ruth King for the IMCW People of Color and LGBTIQ Sanghas

Racism remains one of the most rooted and painful impasses of our time. It is fed through unawareness, the misuse of power, and an inability to sit with the truth. In this engaging evening, using mindfulness principles, we understand the skeletal shape of racism and the flesh we put on its bones as individuals and members of racial groups. Reviewing the Vipallsa Sutta, we learn how to unpack our conditioning, remember our belonging, and establish practices that support understanding and collective cure.
