Black and Buddhist in America, New York

October 21, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join the conversation with 15 leading African American Buddhist teachers.

This unprecedented public event brings together 15 leading Buddhist teachers of black African descent from across the country to talk about dharma, the state of the world, and what it means to be a black Buddhist in America today.

This dialogue follows the conclusion of The Gathering, a historic meeting of Buddhist teachers of black African descent from many different Buddhist traditions. Please click here to RSVP.

This dialogue will be live streamed.

The Buddhist Teachers of Black African Descent Gathering has been organized thanks to generous support from the Arthur Vining Davis Foundations, the Hemera Foundation, and the Frederick P. Lenz Foundation. This Gathering is co-hosted by Lion’s Roar and Union Theological Seminary’s Thích Nhất Hạnh Program for Engaged Buddhism.
